Position Primary Purpose:

The Mental Health Clinical Supervisor oversees the supervision of Mental Health Counselors and related roles, particularly those pursuing licensure. This role is critical in upholding and enhancing the clinical quality of our program, aiming to continuously improve the therapeutic experiences of our clients. The supervisor ensures that clinical practices meet organizational standards and contribute positively to client outcomes.

 

Essential Functions:

Maintain a caseload of counseling clients.

Provide individual and group supervision to clinicians.

Counsel, motivate, and support clinicians, referring advanced issues to leadership as necessary.

Collaborate with the Behavioral Health Program Manager to conduct performance reviews for clinicians.

Oversee and review clinicians' work procedures to ensure professional standards.

Ensure that clinicians comply with all licensure and registration requirements.

Guarantee compliance, accuracy, and quality of clinical documentation.

Assist clinicians in supervising complex cases to provide enhanced support.

In collaboration with the Behavioral Health Program Manager, recommend operational enhancements to ensure sufficient staffing and adequate access to services.

Develop programs and ensure adherence to organizational procedures and policies.

Review clinical files for appropriate services including a justified diagnosis, a complete treatment plan, and a supporting mental health assessment.

All other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

 

Key Competencies:

Demonstrates proficiency in supervision, service delivery, and case management, ensuring effective management and support of client care.

Possesses thorough knowledge of relevant laws and regulatory standards, ensuring compliance across clinical operations.

Exhibits strong interpersonal skills, capable of effectively managing and motivating staff.

Offers outstanding communication abilities, both in writing and verbally, facilitating clear and effective interactions among team members and with clients.

Proficient in using Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Skilled in the utilization of Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.

Has working knowledge of current Oregon Administrative Rules (OARs) and how they apply to providing services within the agency.

 

Minimum Requirements and Education:

Required to have completed at least two (2) years of licensed practice prior to assuming supervisory duties.

Must possess a current LCSW license, with a minimum of two (2) years post-licensure experience.

At least two (2) years of experience in working with unhoused and vulnerable populations, addressing a wide range of clinical issues, including trauma and Serious and Persistent Mental Illness (SPMI).

Must have ongoing participation in continued education and training relevant to the job position.

 

Compensation:

This is a non-union, salaried position, paid out bi-weekly. There is a comprehensive benefits package and a $3,000 signing bonus after 60 days of employment. This position is also student loan forgiveness qualified.
