Beverage Batching and Blending Section Lead

What you’ll do

• Oversee incoming bulk materials: Manage procurement and receiving of bulk alcohol and sweeteners via tankers, railcars, and barges with full compliance to DOT, USCG, DHS TWIC, and Hazmat regulations.
• Direct processing operations: Allocate tankage and staffing; choose between manual, automated, or continuous inline blending approaches to meet schedule and specs.
• Lead safety: Own shift safety practices—spill management/reporting, confined space adherence, Class I, Div I protocols, and PPE—while conducting timely investigations, root cause analyses, and meaningful safety kickoffs to minimize recordables and LTAs.
• Safeguard quality: Enforce Personal Safety, Food Safety, Quality and Environmental Policies; resolve quality issues quickly to keep products in spec and avoid mis-bottling.
• Deliver for customers: Meet OTIF targets for Bottling; maintain internal/government compliance and external food safety/quality expectations.
• Drive performance: Lead or support cost initiatives across Juice Loss %, 9L/case, WGs/Labor $ per hour, OT% utilization, and Department OHV; contribute to the annual budget.
• Audit & compliance: Maintain adherence to DOT, USCG, DHS TWIC, Hazmat, and TTB guidance. Conduct internal audits (receipts, proofing, loss reporting, system transactions, calibrations), support external audits, and ensure accurate inventories, calibrations, 122 and 137 recordkeeping, and timely variance initiation.
• Grow people & culture: Lead with respect. Support climate survey actions and foster a team where everyone can make an impact. Engage fully in the PDS development system and maintain a personal Career Development Plan. Coach team members toward their career goals.

What you bring

• Bachelor’s degree
• 3+ years of relevant experience, including supervisory responsibility
• Experience in process and receiving activities
• Comfort communicating at all organizational levels
• MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) proficiency
• Analytical, technical, and detail-focused mindset
• Preferred: Alcohol beverage or CPG background; union leadership; beverage processing equipment familiarity; inventory control (including perpetual systems) and budgeting experience
• Proficiencies: Bachelor’s degree, Food & Beverage Manufacturing, and experience working in a manufacturing setting

Schedule & pay

• 6 PM – 6 AM, 4 days on / 4 days off (work half the year)
• Salary: $74,000 – $111,000 (placement reflects relevant years of experience)
