Job Description
Kforce has a client in Carlsbad, CA that is looking for a fully remote BI Business Analyst.
Responsibilities:
- Partner directly with executives, operations, marketing, product, and other business teams to understand reporting and analytics needs
- Gather and translate business requirements into meaningful KPIs, metrics, dashboards, and reporting solutions
- Take ownership of analytics requests from initial business question through dashboard delivery
- Use SQL to explore, analyze, validate, and understand underlying data
- Design and build interactive dashboards that provide actionable insights to business users and leadership
- Develop self-service analytics and reporting that enable stakeholders to independently monitor performance and answer key business questions
- Analyze operational, engagement, product, and business performance trends
- Help stakeholders refine ambiguous requests by asking the right questions and identifying the appropriate data and metrics
- Partner with the Director of Analytics to continue building and improving the organization's overall BI and dashboard environment
- Troubleshoot reporting and data-quality issues and validate the accuracy of metrics
- Collaborate with technical teams on data requirements and, over time, potentially contribute to areas such as data modeling and requirements for data engineering
- Work across multiple priorities in a fast-moving, highly collaborative environment
Requirements:
- 2+ years of experience in Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, BI Analytics, or a related analytics role
- Strong hands-on SQL skills
- Experience developing dashboards using Power BI, Tableau, Looker, Sigma, Qlik, ThoughtSpot, Omni, or a comparable BI platform
- Demonstrated experience gathering requirements and translating business questions into analytics or dashboard solutions
- Experience building dashboards and reports for business users, leadership, or executive audiences
- Ability to determine appropriate KPIs and metrics based on business needs
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Comfortable working directly with both senior executives and operational stakeholders
- Ability to operate independently within a small team and take ownership of projects from beginning to end
- Curious, adaptable, and comfortable working in an environment where responsibilities may evolve as the organization grows
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
