    Description

    Usalco, LLC, a rapidly growing national leader in the potable and industrial water/wastewater treatment chemistry industry, is looking to hire a Staff Accountant to support the company's robust growth plan. This is a great time to join both this company and this industry.

    Summary:

    This position supports the Finance & Accounting leadership of the company with analyses and insights to drive the business forward. You will play a crucial role in maintaining financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. You will work closely with our finance team to support daily accounting operations and contribute to the overall financial health of the company. **Must be bilingual in Spanish and English** Hybrid position.

    Responsibilities:

    • Complete monthly reconciliations with input from Senior Accountant & Controller
    • Perform bank reconciliations
    • Responsible for processing payroll for employees, which includes collecting and verifying timesheet data, calculating wages, overtime, deductions, bonuses, and taxes according to federal, state, and local regulations.
    • Assist with Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable processing as needed
    • Assist in year-end and other audits
    • Assist the Tax Accountant with tax and regulatory filings as needed
    • Execute on corporate accounting calendar and reconciliation tracking

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or similar discipline
    • 1-2+ years of progressive accounting or audit experience, in public or industry
    • Must be bilingual in Spanish and English
    • Strong general knowledge of U.S. GAAP
    • Excellent analytical, organization, and communication skills
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
    • CPA or actively pursuing is a plus
