Customer Service Representative

Shift/Hours: Monday - Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM

Pay Rate: $22-25/hr., plus bonuses (individual, and team-based) based on sales metrics.

Location: Denver, CO 80216

Experience: 1 year of Customer-facing experience is required.

Our client is the world's largest supplier of small-quantity metals with locations across the U.S., Canada, and the U.K. They provide over 8,000 metal products to businesses and consumers, earning a reputation for fast, friendly, and knowledgeable service. As a Customer Service Representative, you'll be on the front lines, engaging with customers, identifying their needs, and delivering tailored solutions that drive sales and build long-term relationships.

Customer Service Representative Job Duties to include:
  • Identify customer needs and recommend the right metal products, value-added services, and cutting solutions. Build rapport to create repeat business and long-term relationships.
  • Acknowledge and respond in a timely fashion to all order requests, submitted quotes and delivery follow-up.
  • Recognize opportunities to generate sales leads and new customer development.
  • Provide accurate pricing, prepare quotes, follow up on leads, and close sales. Process orders and manage transactions with precision.
  • Support the achievement of sales/budget targets, which includes maintaining stock control and gross margins while managing cost budgets.
  • Entering and updating customer information into our ERP software, in a timely manner.
  • Accepting cash and taking credit/debit card payments.

Customer Service Representative Requirements to include:
  • Minimum one year of proven customer service experience.
  • Ability to Spend your day on your feet, moving between our sales counter, the office, and the shop floor to assist customers from trade professionals to do-it-your-selfers.
  • Computer skills such as MS office, etc. a definite asset.
  • Clear communication and effective listening skills.
  • Exceptional telephone skills and etiquette.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English.
  • Strong math skills; mathematically inclined.
