Scope of Work:
Dispatching drayage and short-distance (local) trucking in South Bay, California.
Coordination with the Freight Forwarding team to monitor Over the Road (OTR) trucking operations.

Role & Responsibilities:
As a Dispatcher, you will coordinate daily trucking operations to ensure seamless freight movement while maintaining strict regulatory compliance and operational efficiency. Key responsibilities include:
Execute daily dispatching of drivers and equipment to meet pickup and delivery schedules.
Perform comprehensive documentation and record-keeping, including driver logs, bills of lading, and shipment entries.
Enforce strict adherence to DOT regulations, Hours of Service (HOS), and internal safety policies.
Monitor real-time freight movements using TMS and provide proactive status updates to customers.
Troubleshoot operational delays and resolve service-related issues.
Analyze and adjust routes to maximize equipment utilization and fuel efficiency.
Collaborate with the Freight Forwarding team to monitor and update Over the Road (OTR) trucking shipments.
Requirements:
Minimum 3 years of dispatching experience in a fast-paced environment (Drayage preferred), with proven ability to coordinate truck routes, drivers, and freight, while effectively prioritizing multiple shipments and problem-solving.
Additional experience in other logistics sectors, such as Freight Forwarding, is a plus.
Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and Hours of Service (HOS).
Proficiency in TMS, dispatch software, and Microsoft Office.
