Bilingual Medical Assistant

Job Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team.
The ideal candidate will have experience in various medical settings, including inpatient
clinics and hospital medicine. This role requires a strong understanding of medical
terminology, patient care, and administrative support. As a Medical Assistant, you will
play a crucial role in ensuring that patients receive high-quality care while assisting
healthcare providers with clinical and administrative tasks.

Responsibilities:

• Perform patient intake, including taking vital signs and documenting medical histories.
• Assist with medication administration and ensure proper handling of medications.
• Support healthcare providers during examinations and procedures.
• Maintain accurate patient records using EHR systems.
• Conduct basic life support as needed and respond to emergencies.
• Provide excellent patient service by addressing questions and concerns.
• Assist in coding diagnoses using ICD coding for billing purposes.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in various settings such as inpatient care.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a medical setting (clinic experience preferred).
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Familiarity with internal medicine is a plus.
• Basic life support certification is required; advanced certifications are advantageous.
• Experience with EHR systems for efficient patient management.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in both clinical and administrative tasks.
• Ability to work effectively in high-pressure environments.
• Understanding of patient care protocols in inpatient settings.
