JOB DESCRIPTION:
To promote the development of articulation, voice, fluency and language skills according to each student's Individualized Educational Plans (IEP).
DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Follow guidance from supervisor to implement treatment/goals and conduct therapy session in both English and Spanish
- Implement the IEP goals approved by the ARD Committee
- To maintain a positive relationship with supervisor, students and all school staff
- Maintain required data collection/therapy logs.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Maintain confidentiality.
- Maintain regular attendance.
- May require flexibility to travel to multiple campuses.
EXPERIENCE:
- Experience in public school speech-language therapy
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Certification:- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
- Current (or in progress) state license as a speech language pathology assistant through the Texas Department of Licensing Regulations (TDLR)
Special Knowledge/Skills:- Knowledge in all areas of speech development and treatment of speech-language disorders
- Skills in working with campus staff, administrators and parents
- Fluent in both written and spoken English and Spanish
