Billing / AR Specialist

LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable & Billing Specialist for a contract opportunity with an established organization in Fort Worth, TX.

This role will focus heavily on time-and-materials (T&M) billing, contract invoicing, and accounts receivable support. The ideal candidate will have experience managing detailed billing processes, reviewing supporting documentation, and ensuring accurate and timely invoicing.

Approximately 80% of the position will focus on billing, with 20% dedicated to accounts receivable and collections.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and process customer invoices based on time-and-materials (T&M) billing, contracts, and service agreements.

• Review labor hours, materials, pricing schedules, and supporting documentation to ensure billing accuracy.

• Verify billing details against contracts, purchase orders, and established pricing agreements.

• Research and resolve billing discrepancies, invoice adjustments, and customer inquiries.

• Process progress, milestone, and final invoices as applicable.

• Collaborate with internal departments to verify billable charges and resolve discrepancies.

• Maintain accurate billing records and supporting documentation.

• Apply customer payments and reconcile accounts receivable balances.

• Monitor AR aging reports and follow up on outstanding invoices.

• Conduct light collections through professional customer communication.

• Assist with month-end reconciliations, reporting, and additional accounting support.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in billing, accounts receivable, or a related accounting function.

• Experience with T&M billing, contract billing, or complex invoicing strongly preferred.

• Ability to review detailed contracts, work orders, and supporting billing documentation.

• Strong understanding of invoicing, accounts receivable, and payment reconciliation.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, sorting, filtering, and reconciliations.

• Experience with ERP or accounting software.

• Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and problem-solving abilities.

• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across departments.

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines.

• Associate or bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business preferred but not required.
