Job Description
Seeking an experienced Billing Product Manager with strong project delivery rigor to lead the migration and modernization of existing billing processes onto a new Pega-based platform. This role bridges product ownership, business process design, and hands-on project management, driving end-to-end delivery to transform legacy billing operations into modern and integrated workflows. This role serves as the central driver between business stakeholders, operations, and technical delivery teams, translating operational needs and partner feedback into clear functional requirements, user journeys, and workflows. In addition to migrating processes to the new platform, the Billing Product Manager will partner closely with business stakeholders to modernize the end-to-end billing lifecycle: optimizing the partner experience, streamlining workflows for internal users, and improving connectivity with upstream and downstream systems. Working closely with a Senior Product Manager, this role will ensure billing workflows integrate into the broader Pega platform ecosystem and connect with related platforms and processes. Key Responsibilities
  • Define the product vision, roadmap, functional requirements, and user stories for migrating and modernizing legacy billing processes onto Pega
  • Partner closely with business stakeholders, operations, and finance teams to analyze existing billing workflows, identify operational bottlenecks, and design streamlined and automated processes that elevate the partner and internal user experiences
  • Collaborate with the Senior Product Manager to architect, connect, and integrate new billing workflows with broader platform workflows and underlying systems
  • Own and maintain a project management system, including delivery plans, milestone trackers, dependencies, and status reports, to provide clear visibility across all workstreams
  • Prioritize and manage the billing product backlog, lead sprint requirement refinement sessions, and define clear acceptance criteria to ensure technical deliverables align with business requirements
  • Identify, track, and remediate project risks, dependency gaps, and delivery blockers, driving solutions across cross-functional working teams
  • Lead business validation, change management, and release planning, and partner with the user acceptance testing (UAT) lead for business testing, to plan and drive a seamless cutover from legacy systems to the new platform
  • Establish operational metrics and feedback loops to measure process efficiency and user satisfaction
Key Skills
  • Product management lifecycle expertise, including user journey mapping, gathering business requirements, drafting user stories, and managing backlog prioritization
  • Cross-functional project and program management, including a proven ability to coordinate multiple workstreams, manage schedules, and track complex technical dependencies
  • Ability to evaluate legacy systems and processes, eliminate friction points, and design modern end-to-end workflows
  • Workflow design, including a familiarity with connecting workflow automation platforms to enterprise systems, data pipelines, and financial or billing services
  • Expertise in building and maintaining milestone trackers, process maps, and clear status documentation
  • Stakeholder management and facilitation, including a strong ability to drive consensus among business users, operational leads, and engineering teams
  • Clear, structured communication with the ability to synthesize complex details and technical architectures into concise, actionable documentation
Required Experience
  • Proven track record of operating autonomously as a Product Manager or Technical Project Manager leading business process modernization or platform implementation initiatives Demonstrated experience converting complex, legacy business processes into modern, scalable, and automated workflows
  • Experience gathering business requirements, drafting functional specifications, building user stories, and defining UAT criteria
  • Expertise maintaining project plans, risk registers, dependency trackers, and cross functional status reports
  • Strong communication skills, with extensive experience facilitating discovery sessions, process mapping workshops, and requirement refinement sessions:
Preferred Experience
  • Hands-on experience designing, configuring, or implementing workflows on the Pega platform
  • Experience leveraging Pega AI Blueprint to accelerate workflow design and application modeling
  • Domain background in billing, invoicing, payments, financial operations, or partner lifecycle operations
  • Experience in creating SOX-compliant processes

Role Profile
  • Preferred Domain: Product and project management expertise within enterprise workflow platforms, business process automation, or billing and financial operations. Direct experience with Pega platform implementations and workflow modeling is strongly preferred.
  • Years of Experience: 5 8 years of combined product management and project delivery experience, including at least 2 3 years leading workflow modernization, system migrations, or business process re-engineering projects.
  • Visibility: Moderate to High: primary working-team lead and subject matter expert across business stakeholders, operational teams, and platform engineering, partnering directly with platform product management to align integration dependencies and deliver regular progress reporting to team leadership.
  • Autonomy: High: expected to independently lead requirement discovery, manage delivery milestones, proactively flag and resolve cross-workstream risks, and drive workflow design decisions with minimal day-to-day oversight.
