BIM Coordinator/VDC Technician

Tessiers Mechanical Contractors an APi Group company is the Midwests premier mechanical contractor and isseeking someone with mechanical and plumbing experience and expertise to join our dynamic team as a BIM CoordinatorVDC Technician. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a team environment can work independently while modeling and is dedicated to enhancing the constructability of mechanical and plumbing designs. This fast-paced position offers the opportunity to be at the forefront of projects identifying potential issues before construction begins to improve project execution and deliver value to our customers.Key ResponsibilitiesReview plumbing and mechanical construction documents and submittals to create corresponding construction models.Coordinate mechanical and plumbing systems using fabrication parts in Revit and Navis.Produce field installation drawings and reports for field and fabrication shop use.Maintain close communication with field teams fabrication team and project managers.Lead mechanical and plumbing teams in project coordination meetings.Set up projects in Revit.Perform intermediate family editing in Revit.Minimum RequirementsAssociates degree or certification in Computer-Aided Design CAD Drafting Engineering Technology or a related field not necessary if proficiency in Revit and Navis is demonstrated.Minimum of 3 years of experience.Knowledge of mechanical HVAC duct and piping systems materials installation.Knowledge of plumbing systems materials installation.Design or field experience is strongly recommended but not necessary.Experience with the following softwareRevit high intermediate to expertNavisworks high intermediateAutodesk Forma formerly ACCBluebeamMicrosoft ExcelOutlookAutoCAD Fabrication recommendedeVolve Mechanical a plusStratus a plusEffective written and verbal communication skills.Benefits401K matchCompetitive salary and Excellent Benefits packageGreat Medical Dental and Vision Insurance Coverage optionsEmployee Stock Purchase Plan ESSPProfit Sharing PlanPTO and 8 paid HolidaysLong term disability basic lifeAD&D accident insuranceEEO StatementAPi Group is an equal opportunity employer.
