Position Title: BIM Modeler / Structural Drafter
Pay: $28-33/hr (DOE)
Location: Atlanta, GA
Position Summary:
We are seeking a BIM Modeler / Structural Drafter to support the development of structural construction documents using Revit Structure and BIM technology. This role will work closely with structural engineers, project managers, and clients on commercial, educational, aviation, sports, governmental, and mixed-use building projects. The ideal candidate will have strong Revit experience and the ability to manage multiple fast-paced projects in a collaborative structural engineering environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Prepare structural construction documents using Revit Structure
- Create plan drawings, elevations, details, schedules, and 3D models from engineering sketches and notes
- Support structural engineering teams with drafting and BIM modeling tasks
- Coordinate models with architectural, MEP, and landscape disciplines
- Develop drawings for projects involving steel, concrete, masonry, and wood construction
- Assist with document control, project tracking, and project archiving
- Upload and transmit project documents to clients and project partners
- Interface professionally with contractors, clients, and internal team members
- Manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Support project coordination and BIM workflows throughout the design process
Requirements:- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 5+ years of full-time Revit drafting experience
- 5+ years of BIM and/or Revit experience
- Proficiency with Revit Structure
- Experience creating structural construction documents
- Knowledge of structural systems including steel, concrete, masonry, and wood construction
- Understanding of 3D coordination with architectural and MEP disciplines
- Ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines
Preferred Qualifications:- Experience supporting structural engineering consulting firms
- Familiarity with post-tensioned and precast concrete systems
- Experience with commercial, aviation, educational, sports, parking, or governmental projects
- Knowledge of BIM coordination best practices
- Experience in a deadline-driven consulting environment
