Summary

Keep our blending operations running safely, efficiently, and to high quality standards. As a Blending Operations Crew Leader, you will serve as a working leader, supporting the management team in overseeing daily operations while performing hands-on production tasks. You will help plan production, uphold safety and quality standards, and serve as a key link between management and production teams, resolving challenges and helping fellow associates grow through training and mentorship. This role is ideal for a dependable, team-oriented leader with strong technical skills and a solid understanding of feed mill operations who leads by example and takes pride in getting the job done right.

Principal Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Assist with production planning, scheduling, inventory, and daily reporting paperwork.
• Uphold stringent quality control, safety standards, and housekeeping.
• Serve as a key liaison between management and production teams, reporting continuously to management.
• Address and resolve any interpersonal or operational conflicts.
• Participate in management meetings, providing insightful feedback and suggestions.
• Mentor team members, identifying and nurturing potential candidates for future leadership roles.
• Assist in training current and new associates.
• Assist with preventive maintenance (PMs).
• Manage daily performance.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by supervisor.

Minimum Education and Experience

• Reading, writing, math, and analytical skills.

Preferred Education and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2 years of prior or related experience; level determined by previous rendering and/or related work experience.

Physical Requirements and Environmental Factors

• Able to move freely throughout the facility, to include climbing vertical heights (0-150'').
• Able to carry tools and equipment (0-100 pounds).
• Exposure to extreme temperatures (0-100 degrees Fahrenheit), humidity (0-100%), noise (50db to 100db; hearing protection required), and chemicals (MSDS sheets available).
• Must be able to wear protective equipment, to include self-contained breathing apparatus.
