BMS Engineer

Responsibilities: of the BMS Engineer include: • Design, implement, and optimize Building Management System (BMS) controls supporting pharmaceutical and GMP manufacturing facilities. • Develop and review sequences of operation, control narratives, points lists, and functional specifications for HVAC and mechanical systems. • Assist with system startup, commissioning, qualification, and validation activities for BMS-controlled equipment and utilities. • Configure, troubleshoot, and maintain Johnson Controls Metasys and Rockwell Automation/Allen-Bradley control platforms. • Partner with Facilities, Engineering, Validation, and Operations teams to ensure systems operate reliably and remain compliant with regulatory requirements. Requirements of the BMS Engineer include: • 5+ years of experience in BMS, BAS, Controls Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related field. • Hands-on experience with Johnson Controls Metasys and Rockwell Automation/Allen-Bradley technologies. • Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, including AHUs, FCUs, and associated mechanical equipment. • Experience creating control strategies, sequences of operation, functional specifications, and points databases. • Background supporting commissioning, qualification, and validation activities within pharmaceutical, biotech, life sciences, or other regulated environments.
