Welding & fabrication: Execute repairs and installations using appropriate welding processes.
Boilers & HVAC: Diagnose, repair, and optimize thermal and air systems for safe, reliable operation.
Electrical distribution & controls: Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain plant power and control systems.
Mechanicals & pumps: Service rotating equipment and perform general industrial mechanical work.
Safety leadership: Rigorously follow LOTO, confined space, and fall protection procedures; act as safety backup with CPR training (provided by company).
Storeroom & compliance support
Receive parts, tools, labels, and supplies; verify against purchase orders.
Maintain inventory controls: data entry, bin cards, storeroom requisitions, employee issue files.
Generate and route purchase requisitions for approval.
Keep precise written/electronic documentation per cGMP and ISO procedures.
Maintain cleanliness of storeroom areas and equipment.
Transport accumulated hazardous waste from work areas to designated storage when required for maintenance activities.
Stock maintenance inventory and production materials.
Qualifications
Required
5+ years in industrial plant maintenance (single craft or multi-craft).
Associate degree in Industrial Technology or Industrial Maintenance; OR 10 years of relevant experience with High School Diploma/GED.
Read/interpret instructions, safety labels, manuals, and schematics.
Competent with basic math, writing, and data entry.
Proficiency in industrial electronics, welding, pipefitting, carpentry, shop machine operation, pump/boiler repair, and HVAC.
Capable of basic rescue and life-saving duties when serving as a safety backup; complete company-provided CPR certification.
Preferred
Stationary Engineering (Boiler) certification.
HVAC certification.
Advanced troubleshooting and mechanical skill with boilers, HVAC, lathes, and fabrication.
Cross-functional teamwork experience.
Instrumentation controls experience.
Physical and work environment
Coordinate with all levels across the organization; strong communication and reliability.
Work independently with minimal direct supervision.
Access all areas: confined spaces, ceiling-mounted equipment, pits; climb/crawl in restricted access zones.
Good hand–eye coordination; lift/move ~70 lbs; climb ~30 ft; stand/walk for long periods; wear required PPE.
Operate equipment as needed: forklift, scissor lift, shop machines, power tools, various welders, hoists; safely climb ladders and narrow stairs.
