    Description

    Primary Purpose

    Provide bookkeeping services on an intermediate campus including all provisions of activity fund procedures and GAAP, which ensuring compliance with district financial policies. Actively engage in actions that contribute to the overall mission and strategic plan of Clear Creek ISD.

    Qualifications

    Education/Certification/Licensure

    • High school diploma or GED
    • 60 semester college hours in business or accounting preferred

    Special Knowledge/Skills

    • Effective verbal and written communication
    • Working knowledge of software applications for word processing, spreadsheets, and accounting/bookkeeping systems
    • Strong organizational skills

    Experience

    • Minimum of 3-5 years general office experience
    • Two to 5 years of full-charge computerized bookkeeping experience in a business or comparable environment

    Major Responsibilities and Duties

    • Maintain all financial records for the school activity fund by accounting for all school-sponsored activities' financial records, including general ledger, cash balance, detailed accounts, and subsidiary journals.
    • Maintain all financial records on computer utilizing district-approved software.
    • Process all financial transactions in accordance with district financial procedures and policies.
    • Process and account for all money generated and distributed in school-sponsored activities.
    • Serve as recourse for principals and activity sponsors on financial management issues.
    • Reconcile all bank accounts associated with the student activity fund; report reconciliation's in district-approved format and under district guidelines.
    • Assist the principal's secretary for campus budget responsibilities.
    • Provide analytical data and reporting for various district-directed projects in computer spreadsheet formats.
    • Participate in audits with the district internal auditor.
    • Check for cash receipts (deposits) from the Food Service Department on a daily basis.

    • Research district policy, precedent, and current practices prior to taking action.
    • Participate as an effective team member who contributes to district, department, and content goals.
    • Demonstrates proficient levels of technology applications.
    • Participates fully in drills and safety exercises to provide for the safety and overall emotional wellbeing of students.
    • Utilize time wisely for effective management of job responsibilities.
    • Maintain punctuality in daily work times, appointments, and meetings.
    • Meet task completion deadlines established by supervisor.
    • Maintain friendly customer-service-driven interactions with all stakeholders, students, teachers, administrators, and co-workers.
    • Work cooperatively with co-workers and supervisors to ensure that the goals of the school/department are met.
    • Maintain a positive and professional tone in all communication (i.e. email, written, and verbal).
    • Perform other duties and accept other responsibilities as assigned.
