Description

A reputable CPA firm in the Richardson, TX is seeking an experienced Full-Charge Bookkeeper / Client Accounting Specialist to join their Client Accounting Services (CAS) team. This position is responsible for providing comprehensive bookkeeping and accounting services for a portfolio of small and mid-sized business clients across a variety of industries.The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, client-focused, and able to manage multiple clients and deadlines while maintaining exceptional accuracy.

 

Responsibilities

  • Manage bookkeeping for a portfolio of multiple business clients.
  • Maintain general ledgers and ensure accurate financial records.
  • Record daily financial transactions.
  • Perform monthly bank, credit card, loan, and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable.
  • Prepare customer invoices and monitor collections.
  • Record payroll journal entries and reconcile payroll reports.
  • Prepare adjusting journal entries.
  • Complete month-end and year-end closing procedures.
  • Prepare accurate monthly financial statements, including:
  • Balance Sheet
  • Profit & Loss Statement
  • Cash Flow Statement
  • Maintain fixed asset and depreciation schedules.
  • Prepare sales tax returns and reconcile sales tax accounts.
  • Research and resolve accounting discrepancies.
  • Assist clients with accounting questions and software support.
  • Maintain organized electronic client files.
  • Communicate with clients regarding missing information and outstanding items.
  • Assist senior accountants with year-end tax preparation by ensuring books are complete and
  • accurate.
  • Identify opportunities to improve client accounting processes and internal controls.
  • Perform bookkeeping cleanup projects for new clients.


Qualifications

  • 3–7+ years of full-charge bookkeeping experience.
  • Public accounting or CPA firm experience strongly preferred.
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting preferred.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
  • Experience managing multiple clients simultaneously.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with a team.
  • Excellent time management and ability to meet deadlines.

 

Software Experience Preferred

  • QuickBooks Online (required)
  • QuickBooks Desktop
  • Microsoft Excel (intermediate to advanced)
  • Microsoft Outlook
  • Bill.com or similar accounts payable software
  • Experience with practice management systems (Canopy experience is a plus)
  • Desired Skills
