    Description

    We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Accountant to manage a broad range of accounting, bookkeeping, tax, and financial responsibilities. This role supports multiple business entities and is ideal for a numbers-driven professional who thrives in a remote environment and takes pride in accuracy, organization, and process improvement.

    This is a remote position with minimum of 20 hours per week

    Applicants must be U.S.-based.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Prepare and review individual and business tax returns for multiple companies

    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records and financial documentation

    • Prepare financial statements, reports, and summaries for management and clients

    • Reconcile bank statements and research discrepancies

    • Process business transactions using accounting software (QuickBooks Desktop and Online)

    • Provide accounting and financial support to internal teams and clients

    • Ensure compliance with established standards, procedures, and applicable laws

    • Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and operational efficiency

    • Research, track, and resolve accounting or documentation issues

    • Stay current with continuing education and industry best practices

    Qualifications

    • Proven experience in accounting and bookkeeping

    • Strong knowledge of basic accounting principles and payroll procedures

    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, databases, and QuickBooks Desktop and Online

    • Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and financial reporting

    • Comfort with video conferencing and online communication tools

    • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy

    • Strong numerical aptitude and analytical problem-solving skills

    • Excellent organization, filing, and record-keeping abilities

    • Data entry and word processing proficiency

    • Associates degree in Accounting or a relevant certification required

    • QuickBooks Online experience (2–3 years preferred)
