Your Shift & Pay
Schedule: 5:20pm–5:30am on a 2-2-3 rotation. Compensation: Approximately $24.00/hour depending on experience, with growth potential.
A Day in the Life
You arrive for the evening shift, start with a safety walkthrough, and set up the bottle filler and capper for the first run. You’ll decase product, stage materials, and get the case packer ready to go. As production ramps, you monitor performance, complete quality checks, and make fine adjustments to keep the line on target. When it’s time to switch products, you execute an efficient changeover to stay on schedule. Throughout the shift, you perform routine tasks such as inspections, lubrication, and basic maintenance to keep everything running smoothly. You’ll also coach temporary team members on safe, high-quality operation and document each inspection and result with precision.
What You’ll Do
- Operate and oversee the bottle filler, capper, decasing, and case packing equipment safely and effectively.
- Champion safety: follow all requirements, intervene to stop unsafe acts, report concerns, accidents, and near-misses immediately, and submit safety work orders as needed.
- Actively participate in the plant’s Behavior-Based Safety program and facility-wide inspections/accident investigations; keep the work area clean and free of debris.
- Hit daily production targets by following work instructions (WIs), SOPs, and regulatory/food safety guidelines.
- Complete changeovers to maintain the production schedule and minimize downtime.
- Own and uphold the SOPs for bottling line roles; integrate daily maintenance (inspection, lubrication, setup) into your routine to protect quality.
- Drive continuous improvement using departmental KPIs; propose ideas to enhance Boston Brands of Maine bottling operations.
- Optimize resources to elevate quality inspections, labeling performance, and general machine efficiency while controlling cost and waste.
- Collaborate across departments to ensure an excellent finished product and internal customer service.
- Perform bottling-line tasks such as case feeding, quality inspection, case packing, and labeling.
- Complete all documentation accurately, including comprehensive records of inspections performed.
