Overview

We are seeking a customer-focused Branch Sales Associate to support both customer service and warehouse operations in a branch environment. This role combines front-counter sales responsibilities with hands-on warehouse activities, helping customers find the right solutions while ensuring orders are accurately picked, staged, and fulfilled.

The ideal candidate enjoys working with customers, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is comfortable transitioning between sales, inventory, and warehouse responsibilities throughout the day.

Responsibilities

Customer Service & Sales

• Deliver an exceptional customer experience through in-person, phone, and email interactions
• Assist customers with product selection and solution recommendations
• Accurately enter customer orders and process transactions
• Build customer loyalty through excellent service and product knowledge
• Identify sales opportunities and support branch growth initiatives
• Respond professionally to customer inquiries and concerns

Warehouse & Inventory Operations

• Pick, pack, prepare, and stage customer orders for pickup or shipment
• Load customer vehicles safely and accurately
• Receive, stock, and organize incoming inventory
• Prepare customer backorders and restock inventory as needed
• Perform cycle counts and inventory audits
• Support merchandising, showroom replenishment, and product displays
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment

Safety & Operational Excellence

• Follow all safety procedures and operational standards
• Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE)
• Learn and safely operate powered industrial equipment when required
• Assist with general housekeeping and facility organization

Required Qualifications

• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively with customers in person, over the phone, and through email
• Flexibility to work within branch operating hours
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. independently and heavier items with assistance
• Ability to work in a physically active environment involving standing, walking, lifting, and material handling
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to learn multiple computer systems and business applications
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
• Ability to multitask and adapt to changing priorities

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous customer service, retail, counter sales, warehouse, or distribution experience
• Experience with inventory management, order fulfillment, and shipping/receiving processes
• Forklift or powered industrial equipment experience
• Experience in industrial, maintenance, supply, or distribution environments
• Basic computer and order-entry experience
