Our Brand Ambassador should be an outgoing, dynamic person with exceptional oral communication skills. They should be a self-motivated individual who will be responsible for engaging with and educating patients and our retail partners about the entire District Cannabis product line at pop ups and events around Washington, DC. Your role in caring for our plants:The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:Develop, manage, and maintain the pop-up and event calendar, proactively scheduling and coordinating pop-up events at company retail locations, third-party retail accounts, and community events.Overseeing maintenance of merchandising in DC dispensary.Transport merchandise and promotional materials to and from various locations.Set up event booth at various locations.Facilitate weekly in-store cannabis tasting events at the DC dispensary, including event preparation, customer engagement, setup, and release form management.Build and maintain rapport with budtenders and dispensary management.Educate dispensary patrons about the District Cannabis product line and the benefits and uses of each product as well as what sets the District brand apart in the market.Spread brand awareness through word-of-mouth at pop up and community events around DC and occasionally MD.Act as the "face" of District Cannabis at all scheduled events.Own distribution of printed assets including but not limited to posters, stickers, and flyers. Assist in the execution of local marketing initiatives and brand events, including new product launches, community outreach efforts, partnership activations, sponsorships, and external events in collaboration with DCM Inc.; support all aspects of event planning and execution, including setup, breakdown, on-site engagement, and the organization and distribution of promotional and marketing materials.All other duties as assigned.Qualifications we ask you to have:For legal reasons, all employees need to be at least 21 years of age.You will be asked to pass a Federal and State criminal history background check.We ask that you have at least a high school diploma/GED.We ask that you have at least one (1) year of customer service, events or hospitality experience.We prefer brand ambassador experience.Willingness to be in market and travel between DC and occasionally Maryland District Cannabis and partner sites.Additional skills which will help you excel in your role:Desire and ability to work as a member of a team.Flexibility to accommodate scheduling demands including some weekends and applicable holidays. Well developed knowledge of cannabis industry, growing and processing techniques, products and their uses is required.
