Job Description

Lead the content team behind Paul Gough’s personal brand

Can you turn creative ideas into a clear plan—and manage the people, deadlines, and details that bring it to life?

Paul Gough Media is looking for an experienced Brand & Content Manager to lead the day-to-day delivery of Paul’s personal brand, social media content, and podcast.

Paul is an entrepreneur, educator, and podcast host helping physical therapy business owners grow their practices. We produce regular content across multiple channels, supported by an internal team and outsourced creatives.

We need someone who can take ownership of that operation: plan weeks ahead, direct the team, maintain creative standards, and ensure Paul always knows what he’s recording, when, and why.

Success means the content calendar is organized, the team knows its priorities, and podcast guests are booked well ahead of time.

What you’ll own

Content planning and Paul’s recording schedule

  • Your video editing and clipping skills must be A+

  • Own a rolling content calendar, with at least four weeks of planned topics, recording sessions, deliverables, and publishing dates.

  • Schedule podcast recording time with Paul (and guests) in advance and prepare clear briefs so each session is productive.

  • Track every piece of content from idea through recording, editing, approval, and publication.

Managing the content team

  • Manage our internal social media clipper, outsourced clipper, and outsourced carousel creator.

  • Set clear briefs, priorities, deadlines, and quality expectations.

  • Review work, give useful feedback, and hold contributors accountable.

  • Coordinate handoffs so content moves through production without constant chasing from Paul.

  • Maintain a shared system that makes progress, ownership, and deadlines easy to see.

Podcast production and guest coordination

  • Own the podcast production calendar and keep a pipeline of suitable guests.

  • Coordinate invitations, follow-ups, bookings, guest preparation, and recording logistics.

  • Keep guest recordings booked several weeks ahead.

  • Ensure episodes move through editing, publication, and promotion on schedule.

  • Coordinate clips and supporting content so each episode reaches beyond the podcast itself.

Creative direction and brand quality

  • Bring fresh ideas for topics, hooks, formats, clips, and carousels.

  • Understand Paul’s voice, audience, and business priorities.

  • Maintain a consistent standard across everything we publish.

  • Review performance and use what you learn to improve future content.

  • Work with the social out reach team to discover what content turns followers into buyers

What you’ll bring

  • Previous experience managing a small content, social media, or creative team. This is essential.

  • Evidence that you have owned a content calendar and managed several contributors at once.

  • Excellent organization, follow-through, and attention to detail.

  • The confidence to manage upward: secure recording time, request decisions, and keep a busy founder prepared.

  • Strong creative judgment and an understanding of what makes people watch, read, and engage.

  • Experience briefing editors and designers and giving clear, constructive feedback.

  • A proactive approach—you spot a gap, propose a solution, and follow it through.

Podcast production or guest-booking experience would be valuable.

We’d also love to see accounts you’ve tried to build yourself. You don’t need a huge following; we’re interested in your initiative, experimentation, consistency, and what you learned.

What success looks like

Within your first 90 days:

  • We have a clear, reliable content calendar planned at least four weeks ahead.

  • Paul’s recording sessions are scheduled in advance, with briefs ready beforehand.

  • Every contributor knows what they own and when it is due.

  • Podcast guests are consistently booked several weeks out.

  • Content is delivered on time and meets an agreed creative standard.

  • Paul can focus on creating and running the business, confident that you are managing the content operation.

Who will thrive here

You enjoy both the creative work and the discipline required to deliver it consistently.

You can spot a strong content idea, brief the right person, organize production, and get it published. You are comfortable giving feedback, addressing missed deadlines, and keeping several people moving toward the same goal.

You take pride in being prepared weeks ahead. This is NOT a role for a creative who lacks discipline or organizational skills.

How to apply

Please email Lyndin@PaulGough.com and  include:

  1. A brief overview of a small team you’ve managed, including your responsibilities.

  1. An example of a content calendar or production system you’ve owned. Redacted examples are welcome.

  1. Links to content or social accounts you’ve helped grow, explaining your contribution.

  1. An example of how you handled a missed deadline or production bottleneck.

  1. If applicable, an account you’ve built yourself and what you learned from doing it.

This role is based in our Celebration office. Monday - Friday 9:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. Occasional travel required.
