Requirements for the Press Brake Operator
- Previous press brake or machine operation experience required
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints
- Ability to accurately use a tape measure and scales
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Must be willing to submit to a drug screen
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to perform physical activities including pushing, pulling, kneeling, bending, reaching, and standing for extended periods
Press Brake Operator ResponsibilitiesAs a Press Brake Operator, you will help produce high-quality sheet metal components while meeting production and safety standards. Duties may include:
- Operate press brake equipment and other production machinery
- Fabricate sheet metal parts according to specifications and blueprints
- Perform quality inspections throughout the production process
- Complete production and quality documentation accurately
- Assist with machine setup, adjustments, and tooling changes
- Package and prepare finished products for shipment
- Follow all safety policies, job safety analyses, and standard operating procedures
- Work with team members to meet daily production goals
- Assist in other departments as needed
Work EnvironmentWork is performed in a manufacturing setting with exposure to noise, heat, cold, fumes, moving machinery, and sharp materials. Candidates must be able to work safely in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality and productivity standards.
