Position Summary

As a Breakfast Crew Member, you play a critical role in starting each day off right by providing outstanding customer service, preparing quality breakfast menu items, and ensuring the restaurant is ready to serve guests during the morning daypart.

Essential Responsibilities

Guest Service

• Greet customers in a friendly, professional, and welcoming manner.
• Deliver exceptional customer service and create a positive guest experience.
• Accurately take customer orders and process transactions.
• Ensure guests receive fast, friendly, and accurate service during the breakfast rush.
• Address guest questions and concerns promptly and professionally.

Breakfast Food Preparation & Quality

• Prepare breakfast menu items according to Wendy's recipes and quality standards.
• Ensure food freshness, product quality, and presentation standards are consistently met.
• Maintain proper food holding times and temperatures.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health department regulations.
• Assist with stocking and preparing products needed for breakfast operations.

Teamwork & Operations

• Work collaboratively with team members and management to ensure smooth breakfast service.
• Support operations in multiple restaurant areas, including front counter, drive-thru, dining room, and kitchen.
• Assist with restaurant setup and readiness before peak breakfast hours.
• Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety standards.

Restaurant Cleanliness

• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized restaurant environment.
• Clean and stock workstations, dining areas, restrooms, and equipment.
• Complete assigned opening and cleaning duties.
• Ensure the restaurant consistently meets Wendy's cleanliness standards.

Qualifications

Required

• Positive attitude and strong customer service skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced setting while maintaining accuracy.
• Dependability and strong attendance record.
• Willingness to work early morning shifts.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Must be at least 16 years of age.
• Must possess all documents and permits required by federal, state, and local laws.

Preferred

• Previous restaurant, retail, or customer service experience.
• Food safety certification, where applicable.
• Availability during weekday and weekend breakfast hours.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to bend, reach, lift, and move throughout the restaurant.
• Ability to occasionally lift up to 30 pounds.
• Ability to safely operate restaurant equipment.
• Ability to work near hot cooking surfaces, grills, and refrigeration units.
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks while maintaining quality and attention to detail.

Work Environment

Breakfast Crew Members work in a fast-paced restaurant environment with an emphasis on morning operations. Shifts typically begin early in the day and may include weekdays, weekends, and holidays based on business needs.

The Wendy’s Story
First of all, yes, Wendy is a real person. And a pretty special one, being the daughter of our founder Dave Thomas. Today, she is one of the most involved and successful franchise owners in the Wendy’s enterprise. We think Dave would be proud. Back in 1969, he looked around at all other hamburger joints and was like, “Nah. People deserve better.” At the time, other quick-service restaurants were using frozen beef and mass-producing food.
