What You'll Do
As a PRN Float Breast Ultrasound Technologist, you'll provide high-quality breast imaging services while supporting multiple outpatient breast imaging locations throughout Northern Virginia.
Perform Breast Ultrasound Imaging- Independently perform high-quality breast ultrasound examinations
- Acquire consistently excellent diagnostic images for radiologist interpretation
- Adapt imaging techniques to accommodate patient anatomy and clinical indications
- Ensure patient comfort throughout each examination
Support Breast Imaging Services- Evaluate sonographic anatomy and pathology for diagnostic accuracy
- Communicate pertinent findings to radiologists
- Maintain imaging quality standards across multiple locations
- Follow established breast imaging protocols and best practices
Deliver Exceptional Patient Care- Create a calm, reassuring experience for every patient
- Explain procedures with professionalism and empathy
- Build trust with patients during what can be an emotional experience
- Maintain positive relationships with patients, families, physicians, and coworkers
Thrive as a Float Team Member- Adapt quickly to different imaging centers and workflows
- Provide dependable coverage where needed

What You'll Bring
Required- Current RDMS certification
- Current BLS certification
- Excellent communication and patient care skills
- Ability to travel between Fairfax Radiology Centers locations
Preferred- One or more years of breast ultrasound experience
- RDMS Breast (BR) credential
- Experience working independently in an outpatient breast imaging environment

Compensation
Based on your qualifications and experience, the compensation range for this position is:
$43.35 - $47.18 - $51.00 - $54.83 per hour
Placement within the range is determined by factors including experience, education, certifications, and internal equity.
