N&W is looking for a dynamic Bridge Designer/Engineer with bridge inspection experience to team with us in the planning and inspecting of state and locally owned bridges and to assist in the preparation of reports. Position Summary This position supports the Transportation Department (TD) and related work required by other Departments of the Company. Work duties will include, but are not limited to, structural design and analysis associated with highway structures including bridges, box culverts, retaining walls, sign and traffic signal structures. Duties also include creating plan details using computer-aided design (CAD) software. This position will also be involved with writing highway structure related reports, developing quantities, developing cost estimates and specifications. Duties will also include bridge condition inspections and writing condition inspection reports. Other possible duties may include site visits and development of proposals and/or statements of interest as needed.
