My client is a civil engineering firm is seeking a Bridge Engineer Project Manager for its Indianapolis office. Bridge Engineer Project Manager Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage bridge projects from preliminary design through final plan delivery and client coordination.
• Perform structural analysis and design using hand calculations and software tools.
• Supervise and mentor a team of engineers and drafters on transportation structure design.
• Oversee the preparation of construction documents, including plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
• Conduct site visits for inspections, design verification, and construction support.
• Collaborate with in-house teams across disciplines such as roadway, drainage, survey, and planning.
• May assist with bridge inspections, bridge condition reports, and load ratings.

Bridge Engineer Project Manager Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (BSCE)
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in Indiana or eligibility for reciprocity in other states (e.g., Ohio, Kentucky)
• 5–10 years of experience in bridge design, including DOT project delivery
• Familiarity with AASHTO LRFD Bridge Design Manual
• Proficient in technical writing and client communication
• Valid driver's license

Bridge Engineer Project Manager Preferred Qualifications:

• Completion of FHWA Bridge Inspection Training (2-week or 1-week course for PEs)
• Experience with MicroStation and/or AutoCAD
• Bridge inspection background with knowledge of the Bridge Inspection Reference Manual
