Job TitleBridge Construction SuperintendentJob DescriptionLead all on-site bridge construction and rehabilitation activities from project inception through completion. Coordinate daily operations with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, suppliers, and field personnel. Ensure projects are executed safely and in compliance with OSHA, DOT, NJDOT, and company safety standards. Develop and maintain short-term and long-term construction schedules. Monitor project productivity, manpower allocation, equipment utilization, and material deliveries. Conduct site inspections to ensure quality control, adherence to specifications, and regulatory compliance. Manage subcontractor performance and maintain strong relationships with project stakeholders. Identify and resolve field challenges, minimizing project delays and cost impacts. Maintain accurate daily reports, progress updates, and project documentation. Participate in project meetings with clients, owners, inspectors, and design teams. Mentor and supervise foremen, field engineers, and craft personnel. Support project budgeting efforts through effective labor and resource management.The Successful Applicant5+ years of experience as a Superintendent on bridge, heavy civil, or transportation infrastructure projects. Proven track record managing bridge construction, rehabilitation, structural concrete, steel erection, and/or transportation projects. Strong understanding of NJDOT specifications, construction methods, and project delivery processes. Comprehensive knowledge of OSHA safety regulations and industry best practices. Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and project schedules. Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Experience coordinating multiple crews, subcontractors, and vendors simultaneously. Proficiency with construction management software and project reporting tools. Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites throughout New Jersey. OSHA 30 certification preferred.
