Professional Liability Broker

Location: Houston, TX (Hybrid)

Office Options: Beltway Area or The Woodlands

Compensation: Competitive Base Salary + Incentive Bonus + Comprehensive Benefits

A leading specialty insurance brokerage is seeking a Professional Liability Broker to join its growing Houston team. This individual will play a key role in developing retail agency relationships, placing complex professional lines business, and expanding market opportunities across a variety of specialty coverages.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain relationships with retail agents and brokers to generate new business opportunities
• Market and place professional liability risks with carrier partners
• Develop creative placement strategies and identify new product opportunities
• Manage accounts of varying sizes while working toward handling larger and more complex risks independently
• Cultivate new brokerage markets and carrier relationships
• Travel to meet with agents, clients, and prospects throughout the region
• Monitor production metrics including new business growth, retention, and profitability
• Mentor and support junior brokers and team members
• Work closely with underwriting and carrier partners to secure solutions for clients

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Professional Lines, E&S, Wholesale Brokerage, or Specialty Insurance experience preferred
• Strong business development, sales, and relationship management skills
• Experience marketing and placing professional liability risks
• Ability to work independently in a fast paced, production driven environment
• Strong communication and negotiation skills
• RPLU designation or pursuit of professional insurance designations is a plus
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent industry experience preferred
