POSITION SUMMARY:
The BSA Analyst II is responsible for day-to-day implementation of Bank's BSA review, investigation, account identification, reporting and analyzing transactions for unusual and suspicious account activity. Responsibility includes conducting Customer Due Diligence (CDD) and Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) reviews, assessing customer risk, and identifying and documenting potential BSA/AML, fraud, and financial crime risks. The position may also entails assisting with transaction monitoring alerts, SAR investigations and ensuring reviews are accurate and conducted in a timely manner in accordance with applicable regulations, policies and procedures.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Area #1 (100%)
Conduct Customer Due Diligence (CDD) and Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) reviews for new and existing customers.
Analyze customer information, ownership, source of funds/wealth, transaction activity, and other relevant factors.
Perform research on specific unusual/suspicious account activity detected from various areas of the 'Suspicious Activity Monitoring Program' including EDD Reviews to determine whether a SAR is warranted. If SAR is warranted, prepare and complete SARs using SAR manager.
Ensure completed SARs are submitted to a reviewer for timely submission to FinCEN.
Research negative news utilizing automated software, coupled with independent research and online tools.
Periodically review, approve and / or certify CIP information.
Assist senior analysts in review of SAR Evaluations and the accompanying supporting documents submitted by the branches or other departments of the Bank to determine whether a SAR should be filed. When it is necessary, inquire with the appropriate branch or department staff for additional information, to assist the evaluation process. Prepare, review and analyze High-Risk Transactions and Customers for enhanced due diligence and report suspicious transactions as required by the BSA/AML Laws.
Perform due diligence procedures for high risk accounts determined by BSA Officer and/or BSA Manager.
Review and conduct periodic OFAC scan to determine whether there is true match of the list.
Prepare CTRs prior to the filing.
Assist BSA Manager and/or BSA Officer with any BSA issues as deemed necessary.
Perform ad hoc departmental functions as requested by BSA Manager or BSA Officer.
Comply with the Bank's security program, including but not limited to:
Review and comply with the End-User Computing Agreement
Acquire good knowledge on functions and usage of computer systems as related to the assigned job functions.
Be current and knowledgeable in industry's trend in safeguarding the Bank against confidential data leak, identity theft, fraudulent activities, and computer security threats.
Reports suspicious activities to manager, Chief Risk Officer or Information Security Officer.
Advise BSA Officer of changes in transaction pattern of customers in order to update the customer's CDD profile.
Participate in projects, process improvements and other ad hoc BSA/AML compliance activities as needed.

The base pay range for this position is USD $33/Hr. - USD $41/Hr plus full benefits. Exact offer will be determined based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location
