A growing financial institution is seeking an AML Compliance Analyst to support oversight of third-party payment programs and fintech partnerships. This role will focus on assessing financial crime risk, conducting program reviews, evaluating compliance controls, and supporting ongoing oversight of payment and card-based programs.
The successful candidate will work closely with Compliance, Risk, Operations, business partners, and third-party program managers to identify regulatory risks, strengthen control frameworks, and ensure adherence to AML, sanctions, and related regulatory requirements.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Third-Party Program Oversight
Conduct risk-based reviews of payment and card program partners to assess compliance with AML, sanctions, and regulatory requirements.
Evaluate third-party program controls, governance practices, and operational processes to identify potential compliance vulnerabilities.
Review onboarding packages, program documentation, and business models to assess financial crime and regulatory risk exposure.
Support risk assessments for new products, services, partnerships, and program changes.
AML & Financial Crime Risk Management
Analyze AML, sanctions, fraud, and operational risks associated with payment programs and third-party relationships.
Review customer onboarding, identification, and due diligence practices to assess regulatory compliance and risk management effectiveness.
Evaluate compliance with applicable AML regulations, sanctions requirements, and financial crime controls.
Identify emerging risks and recommend enhancements to risk mitigation strategies and oversight processes.
Monitoring, Reviews & Issue Management
Review audit reports, examination findings, and compliance assessments to identify trends and potential control weaknesses.
Document observations, findings, and recommendations for management and stakeholders.
Support remediation efforts and track corrective actions through resolution.
Assist with ongoing monitoring and periodic reviews of third-party partners and payment programs.
Collaboration & Program Support
Partner with Compliance, Risk, Operations, and business teams to support oversight and governance activities.
Assist in the development and enhancement of policies, procedures, and program oversight frameworks.
Support regulatory examinations, audits, and internal reviews as needed.
Contribute to special projects and strategic initiatives related to financial crime risk management and third-party oversight.
QUALIFICATIONS
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree required.
2+ years of experience in AML, BSA, sanctions compliance, internal audit, compliance risk management, or a related financial services function.
Understanding of AML, KYC, sanctions, customer due diligence, and financial crime risk management principles.
