Our client is seeking a Payments Compliance Analyst to support oversight of new and existing payments programs and third-party program managers. This role will focus on BSA/AML, OFAC, and regulatory compliance oversight related to payment access programs, processors, and fintech partnerships.

The ideal candidate will possess strong AML and payments compliance knowledge, experience evaluating third-party risk, and the ability to work cross-functionally within a fast-paced and evolving financial services environment.



Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct oversight reviews of payment program manager processes and assess compliance with BSA/AML, OFAC, and related regulatory requirements.
  • Evaluate adherence to servicing agreements, policies, procedures, and program responsibilities.
  • Review and assess AML and compliance risks associated with onboarding new payment and credit card programs.
  • Perform program risk assessments and assign appropriate risk ratings for payment access and card programs.
  • Analyze fact sheets, onboarding documentation, audit reports, and program manager materials to identify potential money laundering, fraud, and regulatory risks.
  • Review audit and examination findings to ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory expectations.
  • Identify root causes of operational and compliance vulnerabilities and recommend corrective actions and process improvements.
  • Monitor industry trends, emerging risks, and regulatory developments related to payments, fintech, AML, and fraud.
  • Support implementation of procedures aligned with BSA, USA PATRIOT Act, OFAC, and related regulatory requirements.
  • Partner with internal account managers, third-party program managers, processors, and advisory partners to gather and review compliance documentation.
  • Assist with onboarding, due diligence, and ongoing risk management of third-party payment partners and processors.
  • Support tracking and remediation of audit findings and regulatory examination issues.
  • Evaluate Customer Identification Program (CIP) and KYC processes related to payment partners and program managers.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of Compliance, BSA/AML, Internal Audit, Risk, or related financial services experience.
  • Experience within a financial institution, fintech, payments, or banking environment preferred.
  • Working knowledge of BSA, AML, OFAC, USA PATRIOT Act, CIP, and KYC regulatory requirements.
  • Familiarity with payments programs, card programs, processors, or fintech partnerships preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail and sound professional judgment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently within a fast-paced environment.
  • Comfortable learning new systems, technologies, and software platforms.
  • Professional certifications such as ACAMS, AMLCA, CFE, or related certifications are preferred.
