Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Building Engineer to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair building systems to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient facility operations. The ideal candidate has 3-5 years of commercial building maintenance experience, strong HVAC knowledge, and hands-on experience with mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and other building systems.
• Inspect, maintain, and troubleshoot boilers, pumps, compressors, refrigerant systems, and water systems.
• Monitor building equipment and identify potential issues before they cause system failures.
• Coordinate contractor work and assist with required inspections.
• Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests and equipment failures.
• Maintain accurate maintenance logs, service records, and inspection documentation.
• Follow safety procedures, technical instructions, and applicable building maintenance standards.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of building maintenance or building engineering experience required.
• Hands-on HVAC troubleshooting and repair experience.
• Familiarity with boilers, pumps, compressors, refrigerant systems, and general building equipment.
• Electrical and plumbing maintenance experience.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, instructions, and safety regulations.
• Relevant trade license or certification preferred, such as HVAC certification or Journeyman Electrician license.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and time-management skills.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to climb ladders and work in confined spaces.
• Ability to perform hands-on maintenance tasks throughout the facility.
• Flexibility to work occasional overtime during emergencies.

Compensation and Employment

• Pay: $25.00-$28.00 per hour.
