  • Participate in pre-construction meetings and provide technical guidance as needed.
  • Stay current on code updates, construction practices, and industry standards.

Qualifications:
  • Experience performing building inspections is preferred, but candidates with related construction, engineering, or code enforcement experience are encouraged to apply.
  • Knowledge of California Building Codes and accepted construction practices.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, construction drawings, and technical specifications.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Excellent organizational and documentation abilities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and electronic inspection or permitting software.
  • Valid California Driver's License.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working for a city, county, or public agency Building & Safety Department.
  • Experience performing both field inspections and plan reviews.
  • Active ICC certifications are highly desirable, including:

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple inspections while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
  • Professionalism, integrity, and a commitment to public safety.
  • Ability to build positive working relationships with contractors, architects, engineers, property owners, and internal teams.

Compensation:
  • $45.00 to $65.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
  • Opportunities available for Junior, Mid-Level, and Senior Building Inspectors.
  • Competitive compensation based on experience, certifications, and technical expertise.
