The Facilities Maintenance Technician performs a wide range of general and technical maintenance, repair, and improvement work across Loon Mountain Resort's buildings and facilities. This is a hands-on, cross-functional role that supports all trades within the Building Maintenance and Electrical department — including carpentry, painting, plumbing assist, electrical assist, HVAC support, and preventative maintenance. The ideal candidate is reliable, self-motivated, mechanically inclined, and committed to maintaining a safe and well-functioning resort environment for guests and team members.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or GED required. Two or more years of related experience in building maintenance, construction, or a skilled trade preferred. Equivalent combination of education and hands-on experience will be considered.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in a professional manner with team members, contractors, and resort leadership.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Working knowledge of basic mathematics, measurements, and estimation as required for facilities and project work.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to identify, analyze, and resolve practical problems in a dynamic resort environment, sometimes under time pressure or adverse conditions.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Valid NH Driver's License. Resort certification on all required equipment. Additional trade certifications are a plus and will be supported through professional development.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to outside weather conditions including extreme cold. The employee is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and varying noise levels. The employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, high places, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and risk of electrical shock.
