Building Maintenance Technician will assist in ensuring that operation, construction, and maintenance of building, equipment, and systems are in compliance with applicable laws, codes, regulations, and standards. Performs semi-skilled, general maintenance and repair work on building, equipment, grounds and related facilities under the guidance of a skilled trades technician. Building Maintenance Technician will assist skilled trades staff in performing routine, plumbing, electrical and HVAC tasks. Building maintenance technician will also assist in the repairing of sheetrock walls, general concrete work, painting and window repair. Participates in other duties in support of department operations as assigned; sets up and removes tables, chairs, stages etc.; assists with maintenance and other functins during inclement weather. Performs other related duteis as required. High school diploma or GED required, with some vocational or technical training in building maintenance or building trade; supplemented by 6 months to one year of experience in building maintenance; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job. MUst possess and maintain a valid South Carolina Driver"s License.
