Building Science + Infrastructure Consulting Internship (Level 1)

What You'll Do:

• Conduct field observations associated with existing structures and facilities
• Perform building science testing services including anchor bolt testing, bond testing, GPR, coring, chipping, sample extraction, sounding, roofing and waterproofing, exterior insulation finish systems (EIFS), leak investigations, and forensic investigations
• Under the direction of senior staff, perform structural assessments, structural designs, and construction administration services (including RFI responses, shop drawing review, budget updates, and owner meetings).
• Interacting and communicating effectively with site contractors, other technicians, and project managers
• Collaborate with senior staff to prepare building science & infrastructure reports and develop an understanding of the relationship between field observations, test results, and report conclusions.

What We're Looking For:

• Actively pursuing an Associate, Bachelor, or Master's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Building Science, or related degree

• Interest in building forensics, mechanical systems, and structures

• Position requires carrying 40 – 70 lbs multiple times a day or occasionally lifting 85 lbs to waist height
• Must be able to provide suitable transportation for use on job sites - mileage will be reimbursed
