Building Services Consultant-Mechanical Projects

The Building Services Consultant position provides technical expertise and end-to-end support for complex mechanical and building services projects for Senior Living customers. This role helps customers identify their needs, develop effective solutions, and coordinate project execution through a network of third-party service providers. 

Working closely with customers, service providers, and internal teams, you'll support successful project delivery through technical guidance, service provider management, and sales support. Your expertise will help ensure project quality, resolve challenges, and deliver a consistent customer experience. 

What You’ll Do and Impact:  

• Partner with Senior Living customers to assess building service needs, define project scopes, and recommend technical solutions that support successful outcomes. 

• Coordinate third-party service providers to communicate project requirements, establish expectations, and verify work is completed according to agreed-upon scopes. 

• Collaborate with internal Project Associates to review service provider bids for scope completeness and pricing accuracy. 

• Develop and present customer proposals, providing technical guidance to support informed purchasing decisions. 

• Troubleshoot service delivery issues and manage service provider performance through clear expectations, escalation, and contract enforcement. 

• Provide technical expertise to Sales and Customer Service teams, partnering with Supply Chain resources to resolve recurring service and fulfillment issues. 

• Respond to customer, internal team, and service provider inquiries through phone, email, and mobile applications to support timely issue resolution. 

• Lead process improvements, train new team members, and mentor colleagues to strengthen team capabilities and operational effectiveness. 

• Manage complex, high-stakes projects, including project strategies, negotiations, and risk mitigation to support successful execution and minimize potential losses. 

• Support additional team initiatives and operational projects that improve service delivery and business performance. 

What You’ll Bring: 

• Associate degree or equivalent apprenticeship. 

• 15+ years of applicable trade industry experience. 

• Extensive technical knowledge of HVAC and commercial kitchen equipment maintenance and installation, including oversight of large, complex projects across multiple service categories. 

• Experience coordinating third-party service providers, managing project requirements, and resolving technical or service delivery challenges. 

• Ability to communicate effectively with customers, service providers, and internal stakeholders to align expectations and resolve conflicts. 

• Strong problem-solving and adaptability skills, with the ability to learn new processes, navigate changing priorities, and resolve complex issues. 

• Ability to use systems and technology to manage multiple priorities, organize work, and improve efficiency. 

• Flexibility to accommodate changing business needs, including work schedules, customer service priorities, and administrative responsibilities. 

• Ability to travel by car and/or plane up to 10%. 

• Experience with plumbing and electrical systems maintenance and installation preferred. 

• Experience in customer service, dispatch, quoting, or project management for landscaping, snow removal, or other exterior building maintenance services preferred. 

• Knowledge of additional building trades preferred.
