Long Term Substitute Specialized Paraprofessional - ABLES Program at Liberty Elementary School

The Braintree Public Schools is seeking dedicated, compassionate, and collaborative specialized paraprofessional to support students in our ABLES Program, a highly specialized special education program designed for students with significant disabilities, including autism spectrum disorder and other complex developmental needs. This position is at Liberty Elementary school grades K-4.

The specialized paraprofessional works under the direction of a special education teacher and related service providers to implement individualized educational and behavioral programming. This position requires the ability to provide intensive instructional support, assist students with activities of daily living, and implement positive behavior support strategies to help students access their educational program safely and successfully.

Preferred Qualifications include:

• Experience providing instruction using ABA-based teaching strategies.
• Experience collecting instructional and behavioral data.
• Experience supporting students with communication systems, including AAC.
• Knowledge of positive behavior interventions and supports.
