Bulletin 4714 Long Term Substitute Elementary English Learner (EL) Teacher

Braintree Public Schools is seeking a permanent English Learner Education (ELE) Teacher at the Elementary (K-4) level from January 16, 2027 through mid-April 2027.

QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree or higher; Massachusetts ESL license or pending license

OVERVIEW OF ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Use the District's ELE curriculum based on the WIDA and MA ELA standard frameworks to plan, develop, and implement student-centered language and literacy lessons that promotes social, instructional, and academic language
• Provide high quality instruction in English language development (ELD) classes and model growth mindset for all students
• Provide a safe and respectful learning environment that fosters social and emotional competencies and empowers multilingual students to be skilled and competent communicators that actively participate in their school community
• Participate in professional development opportunities at the department, school, and district levels as well as monthly department meetings
• Administer WIDA ACCESS test
