They may be on an LTPS vehicle or a vehicleoperated by a contractor.The bus attendants can work between 6:30 and 9:30 in the AM. Then they work between 12:00 PM -5:00 pm(hours are determined by route and are subject to change) Do not exceed 40 hours per weekThe hours needed can range between 1 to 3 hrs. in the AM or the PM.When a sub attendant is needed, it may be in the AM or the PM, or sometimes, it will be both AM andPM.Early dismissal hours will vary between 11:30 AM - 1:30 PMThe duties may include clipping pre-K students into car seats, and ensuring all the students remain intheir seatbelts during the route.Start date: ASAPBus Attendants are LAB&TA positions with a starting hourly rate of $22.34Please contact Andrea Nesmith, Transportation Supervisor at 609-671-5445 with any questions(preferably between 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. if possible)The schedule to be determinedREQUIREMENTS:Minimum of a high school diploma.Ability to work effectively with children of varying ages and abilities.Experience working with children, particularly those with special needs, preferred.Ability to take initiative in assisting students.Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding student information.Must be able to successfully pass an NJDOE Criminal History & Background Check.Ability to complete required state and district training.Ability to climb bus steps repeatedly throughout the workday.Ability to assist students with mobility needsAbility to sit, stand, walk, bend, stoop, and reach as necessary.Ability to lift and/or assist students and equipment in accordance with district policies and training.Ability to respond quickly in emergency situations.Able to assist with evacuations and emergency procedures when necessary.Regular attendance and punctuality are essential.Benefits include:Sick, and personal days prorated for the period of employmentDue to the volume of applications, we receive, we are unable to provide all applicants withan interview.Application Procedure:Apply Online www.ltps.orgAffirmative Action/EEO/ADA Employer
