Bus Driver -- Girard City Schools

POSITION:

• Bus Driver

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Valid Commercial Driver''s License (CDL), Class B or higher, with School Bus (S) and Passenger (P) endorsements.
• Must maintain a valid Ohio driver''s license and meet CDL requirements under Ohio BMV rules.
• Hold or obtain Ohio School Bus Operator Certification via pre-service training and in-service requirements under OAC 3301-83.10.
• Must pass a BCI/FBI background check, drug and alcohol testing, physical exam, and driver''s record review as required by the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT).
• Thorough knowledge of Ohio traffic laws and school transportation regulations.
• Ability to operate a large vehicle safely in all weather conditions.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Patience, dependability, and good judgment.
• Demonstrate professionalism and the ability to work effectively with staff, students, and the administration.
• Must be able to carry out the duties of the job description
