The Bus Washer is responsible for cleaning and maintaining the appearance of fleet vehicles. This includes washing both the exterior and interior of buses to ensure they are clean and ready for operation. The position requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and adherence to safety standards when using cleaning chemicals and equipment.
Duties/Responsibilities:
· Wash the exterior of buses using pressure washers, brushes, and approved cleaning chemicals.
· Clean the interior of buses, including seats, windows, floors, and driver areas, ensuring all surfaces are sanitized and free of debris.
· Perform routine checks for any damage or maintenance issues during the cleaning process and report findings to the Yard Supervisor.
· Maintain and organize cleaning tools and equipment, ensuring they are in proper working order and stored correctly.
· Monitor cleaning supply levels and notify the Yard Supervisor when stock needs to be replenished.
· Follow all safety protocols when using cleaning chemicals, ensuring compliance with safety regulations to prevent accidents.
· Conduct final quality checks on vehicles to ensure they meet cleanliness standards before being released for service.
· Assist with fueling buses and preparing vehicles for daily operations as required.
· Keep the cleaning area organized, free from hazards, and compliant with all safety guidelines.
· Support the movement of vehicles within the yard, helping to park or reposition buses as necessary.

Qualifications & Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in vehicle cleaning or a related field is preferred
