Description
Summary:
- Duration: 6 months
- Work Mode: Onsite 5 days/week
- Location: Charlotte, NC
- Schedule: 10a-7p EST
Responsibilities:
- Monitor and manage daily liquidity positions across multiple entities, currencies, and funding platforms.
- Execute timely funding transactions to support settlement obligations, client activity, and operational requirements.
- Analyze cash flows, account balances, and projected funding needs to ensure sufficient liquidity throughout the business day.
- Investigate and resolve funding breaks, overdrafts, settlement exceptions, and cash discrepancies.
- Escalate liquidity risks, funding shortfalls, operational incidents, and settlement concerns in a timely manner.
- Partner with Treasury, Operations, Global Markets, Finance, and Technology teams to resolve issues and improve processes.
- Maintain and distribute daily funding, liquidity, and risk reports to business partners and senior management.
- Monitor critical settlement systems and payment infrastructures, ensuring operational readiness and timely issue resolution.
- Support regulatory, audit, compliance, and risk management requests by providing documentation and process expertise.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and AI-enabled solutions to reduce manual effort and operational risk.
- Participate in strategic initiatives, system enhancements, testing activities, and change management efforts impacting funding operations.
- Adhere to established controls, procedures, and policies while ensuring activities are completed accurately and within required deadlines.
Requirements:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret financial and operational data.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize competing demands and effectively manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Strong understanding of liquidity management, cash positioning, payment processing, and settlement activities.
- Ability to identify, assess, and escalate risks appropriately.
- Experience working with large datasets, reporting tools, and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
- Ability to collaborate and build relationships across multiple business areas and organizational levels.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and make sound decisions within established guidelines.
- Continuous improvement mindset with a focus on operational excellence and process optimization.
- Interest in leveraging automation, data analytics, and AI capabilities to transform funding and liquidity management processes.
- Strong sense of ownership, accountability, and urgency when managing critical funding and settlement activities.
