Description
Position Summary:
- Support the design, implementation, and improvement of cloud governance policies, standards, and compliance processes.
- Act as a bridge between technical teams and business stakeholders to ensure cloud governance aligns with company goals and policies.
- Work on cloud policy lifecycle management, compliance detection, notifications, and reporting.
- Promote a culture of compliance, transparency, and accountability in cloud operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as liaison between cloud governance, engineering, platform owners, ServiceNow, CIS, and other teams.
- Gather and document requirements for governance platform capabilities.
- Define and document cloud infrastructure standards and compliance requirements.
- Partner with engineering teams to deliver "policy as code solutions, including detection, notification, and reporting.
- Facilitate approval, communication, and lifecycle management of cloud standards and rules.
- Manage exception handling when standards cannot be followed.
- Work with adjacent teams to ensure compliance data is integrated into governance platforms.
- Analyze dashboards and reports to identify compliance trends, risks, and areas for improvement.
- Present data-driven insights and recommendations to leadership.
- Create guidance and training materials on cloud governance best practices.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 5+ years' experience as a Business Analyst.
- 3+ years' experience in Data Analysis.
- Expert in SQL for querying and analyzing data.
- Strong knowledge of AWS cloud environment in relation to data engineering and data science.
- Proficient with data visualization tools such as Databricks, Athena, or Tableau.
- Skilled at analyzing complex datasets and communicating results clearly.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience with Confluence and Jira.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Engineering, or related field.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with Lucid Chart or similar diagramming tools.
- Familiarity with UAT and data testing.
- Experience with data governance or compliance reporting.
- Ability to work independently and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Success Metrics:
- Adoption and successful implementation of governance policies and standards.
- Delivery of accurate compliance and governance metrics.
- Stakeholder satisfaction with governance processes.
- Measurable improvement in cloud compliance scores and operational efficiency.
