Department Overview
The Finance Division, reporting to the CFO, comprises 3,000 global employees. It safeguards the firm's records, assists in risk management, liaises with regulators, and communicates financial data to investors. The Global Corporate Controllers (GCC) manage accounting and regulatory reporting, preparing external financial reports and internal forecasts. The US Legal Entity Regulatory Control team ensures regulatory compliance, preparing and filing FOCUS reports and calculating daily customer reserve requirements.
Role Summary
Seeking a senior-level consultant to support data analysis and process improvements for financial and regulatory reporting in New York. The role involves detailed data-driven analysis, documenting data needs, performing gap analyses, and collaborating with Finance, Technology, and Regulatory teams to drive improvements.
Responsibilities
Analyze financial and regulatory data requirements for New York legal entities.
Evaluate current data sources and reporting processes against regulatory standards.
Conduct gap analysis to identify deficiencies and inefficiencies.
Document data requirements, gaps, assumptions, and dependencies.
Collaborate with stakeholders to validate requirements, confirm data quality, and align on solutions.
Enhance regulatory control and reporting processes for efficiency and compliance.
Translate needs into actionable data and reporting requirements.
Support automation and optimization initiatives.
Communicate findings and recommendations through documentation and presentations.
Operate effectively in a fast-paced, high-visibility environment.
Required Skills
Expertise in business analysis, data analysis, and process improvement.
Experience in detailed data requirement and gap analysis for financial or regulatory reporting.
Comprehensive understanding of financial services data, including General Ledger and finance processes.
Experience in data requirements and process enhancements.
Proficiency in reconciling and differentiating data sources, with strong spreadsheet articulation skills.
6-10 years of independent work experience.
Advanced Excel and AI (Copilot) skills.
Preferred experience with Alteryx.
Knowledge of financial products such as derivatives and assets.
