Business Analyst – Level 3
Location: Menands, NY (100% Onsite)
Contract Duration: August 20, 2026 – July 31, 2027 (Approximately 11 Months)
Our Client is seeking one (1) Business Analyst – Level 3 to support the modernization and enhancement of the Healthcare Associated Infections Surveillance and Outbreak Management System (SHARP). The selected consultant will gather and document business requirements, support software development and testing activities, prepare functional documentation, create process models and UI mock-ups, and work closely with NYSDOH stakeholders to ensure successful implementation of application enhancements.
Must-Haves
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, MIS, or equivalent
Minimum 6 years of Business Analyst experience
Minimum 6 years of experience working on software enhancements or new application development projects
Minimum 6 years of gathering and prioritizing business requirements with business users
Minimum 6 years of documenting business requirements
Legally authorized to work in the United States
Must be willing to work onsite in Menands, NY
Willing to relocate if outside commuting distance

Key Responsibilities
Gather, clarify, prioritize, and document business requirements.
Support the Healthcare Associated Infections Surveillance and Outbreak Management System (SHARP).
Validate proposed system designs.
Support software development and testing teams.
Prepare requirements traceability documents.
Create system and user interface mock-ups.
Develop test plans, test scenarios, and test cases.
Identify and document technical and functional defects.
Support NYSDOH stakeholders during testing and implementation.
Maintain software requirements, design, and quality assurance standards.
