Business Analyst (Level II)

Position Title: Business Analyst - Global Market Loan Operations
Pay Rate: $38.48 per hour
Location: 150 N. College St., Charlotte, NC 28255
Work Arrangement: Hybrid Minimum of 3 days onsite per week
Contract Duration: ASAP(Potential Contract-to-Hire)

Position Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Business Analyst II to support Global Markets Loan Operations, focusing on syndicated loan processing, payment transactions, reconciliation, and client onboarding. The role involves collaborating with internal teams and external clients to ensure accurate and timely transaction execution, resolve operational issues, maintain risk controls, and improve processes in a fast-paced financial services environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review credit agreements and lending documentation to ensure accurate deal setup across internal systems and platforms.
• Process daily client requests, funding requirements, lender reallocations, and loan payments accurately and within established deadlines.
• Communicate with external clients to address inquiries, troubleshoot issues, manage escalations, and maintain positive working relationships.
• Support new client, deal, and facility onboarding, including platform training, operational readiness, and ongoing support.
• Collaborate with internal teams, including Finance, Technology, Front Office, and Operations, to support daily transactions and onboarding activities.
• Review daily, weekly, and monthly reports, reconcile discrepancies, monitor outstanding items, and ensure timely resolution of aged breaks.
• Use AI and automation tools to streamline workflows, improve efficiency, and reduce manual tasks.
• Support system enhancements, testing, static data validation, and technology implementations.
• Ensure compliance with operational procedures, internal controls, regulatory requirements, and risk management standards.
• Participate in business continuity testing and operational resiliency exercises.
• Collaborate with Compliance, Audit, Risk, Finance, and Technology teams on audits, testing, and control assessments.
• Identify process improvement opportunities, share knowledge, and contribute to team collaboration and operational excellence.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree or equivalent experience in syndicated lending operations.
• Experience or strong knowledge of syndicated lending, loan operations, or financial services operations.
• Understanding of operational risk, internal controls, and procedures within a regulated financial environment.
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to interact professionally with clients and internal stakeholders.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet tight deadlines, and perform effectively in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
• Self-motivated and capable of working independently with minimal supervision while recognizing when issues require escalation.
• A risk-aware, client-focused approach to resolving issues and supporting operational activities.
