Market Analysis - IT Standardization

Position Summary

The Business Analyst role will support the Market Analysis IT Standardization & Western Market Expansion initiative.
The role will serve as the primary liaison among business stakeholders, Market Analysis, NEM, IT delivery teams, and vendors to drive requirements, project planning, delivery execution, testing, and deployment activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead project planning, milestone tracking, status reporting, risk management, and stakeholder communications.
• Facilitate requirement workshops and document business, functional, data, and integration requirements.
• Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, action items, risks, assumptions, dependencies, and decisions.
• Create process flows, user stories, use cases, and clear acceptance criteria.
• Coordinate Agile ceremonies, backlog refinement, sprint planning, demonstrations, and release activities.
• Partner with business and technical teams to ensure requirements are understood, prioritized, and delivered.
• Support workflow automation, case management, data integration, dashboards, and reporting requirements.
• Coordinate system integration testing, user acceptance testing, defect tracking, and business sign-off.
• Prepare executive updates, project dashboards, funding updates, and steering committee materials.
• Drive production readiness, documentation, knowledge transfer, deployment planning, and support transition.

Required Qualifications

• Five or more years of Business Analyst experience.
• Experience supporting technology delivery, platform modernization, or business transformation initiatives.
• Strong knowledge of Agile delivery methods and the software development lifecycle.
• Proven ability to gather requirements, facilitate stakeholder discussions, and translate business needs into actionable deliverables.
• Experience managing schedules, risks, dependencies, decisions, testing, and project reporting.
• Strong written and verbal communication, presentation, facilitation, and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in energy, utilities, trading, ETRM, market analysis, or ISO/RTO environments.
• Familiarity with cloud-based applications, AWS, data integration, analytics, and reporting platforms.
• Experience coordinating cross-functional business, technology, and vendor teams.
• Working knowledge of Power BI, SQL, Jira, Azure DevOps, or comparable delivery and reporting tools.

Focus : Requirements leadership, project execution, stakeholder coordination, testing oversight, and deployment readiness for an internally developed Market Analysis platform initiative.
