Job Title: Business Analyst
Location: Hybrid NY/NJ; 3 days onsite/wk
Contract: 6+ Months
Lending Domain (Origination, Underwriting, Servicing):
As a Business Analyst/Project Manager, you will drive the delivery of lending technology initiatives for financial services clients. In this client-facing role, you will translate business needs into clear requirements, manage project scope, timelines, and risks, and coordinate across business, technology, and compliance teams to deliver solutions across the loan lifecycle, from origination and underwriting through servicing and collections.

Essential Functions & Key Responsibilities
Requirements Gathering: Elicit, document, and maintain business requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria through workshops and stakeholder interviews, aligned with lending business objectives.
Lending Process Analysis: Analyze and improve loan lifecycle workflows (application, underwriting, closing, servicing, collections), identifying gaps and opportunities for automation.
Project Planning & Delivery: Develop and manage project plans, milestones, budgets, and RAID logs, and report status and risks to client leadership.
Agile Collaboration: Facilitate Agile ceremonies, manage the backlog in Jira, and partner with developers and QA to drive timely delivery.
UAT & Change Management: Support user acceptance testing, defect triage, and release readiness, ensuring smooth adoption of new solutions.
Regulatory & Compliance Alignment: Ensure solutions align with lending regulations and internal policies (e.g., TILA, RESPA, ECOA, fair lending, KYC/AML).
