We are currently partnered with a software-focused growth equity firm with offices in Austin and San Francisco seeking a Business Development Associate to join its growing team. This is an opportunity to work directly with seasoned Investor Relations and Business Development professionals while developing in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment.
The Business Development Associate will be responsible for:
Source and qualify investment opportunities through proprietary outreach
Build relationships with founders, executives, advisors, and intermediaries
Conduct market research within the B2B software and AI ecosystem
Support deal execution from initial outreach through LOIs and closing
Manage and track deal flow across the investment pipeline
Utilize AI tools to enhance sourcing and workflow efficiency
The Business Development Associate should have:
3-4 years of investment banking experience
Background in Financial Sponsors, Software, B2B Technology, or Growth Equity preferred
Experience with proprietary outreach required
Experience supporting live transactions through execution
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
Hard-working, engaging, dedicated, and personable demeanor
Proficiency with AI tools strongly preferred
Bachelor's degree with a strong record of academic and professional achievement
Experience with bringing deals to a close
